Getting started

Open Biocode and tap Connect Apple Health, then choose what Biocode can read. Everything it shows comes from the Health app: your iPhone records steps and walking data on its own, and Apple Watch adds heart rate, HRV, sleep, blood oxygen, respiratory rate and more.

Common questions

A screen says there's no data. Biocode can only show what's in Apple Health. If you do have that data, check that Biocode can read it: iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Biocode.

Why is there no usual range yet? A usual range needs 14 days or nights of a metric. Until then Biocode shows the values without one.

What is the usual range? The middle 80% (10th to 90th percentile) of your own values from the previous 60 days, not counting the day shown. You can change the window and the band in Settings → Usual range.

Why don't the numbers match another app? Apps aggregate differently. Every metric's About page (the ⓘ button) explains exactly how Biocode calculates it.

Where are sleep stages from? Apple Watch estimates them from motion and heart rate. Biocode shows them as Apple Health records them.

Can Biocode see my lab results? If your health system supports Health Records in the Health app, open Browse → Labs & Records and tap Allow access to records.

Does Biocode send my data anywhere? No. It has no account and no server, and everything stays on your iPhone. See the privacy policy.
